You will be a crucial team member of a fast-growing data analytics consulting team, eager to help e-commerce businesses grow using the power of data analytics to make the most effective decisions.

The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up, as you will be supporting and working with clients from various countries, industries and a variety of interesting data problems to solve.

​

More importantly, you are proactive in asking questions, learning and solving problems, whether they are technical or people oriented - to create a culture of radical transparency and excellence.

Required Skills

 

  • Good logical thinking, analysis and problem solving skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

  • Experience in delivery roles on Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing projects.

  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Possesses skills and experience in Google Cloud Platform technologies like Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Big Query, Dataflow, etc.

 

Preferred Skills

 

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills as this role is required to be liaising with both internal & external stakeholders.

  • Has consulting experience and background, including engaging directly with clients as well as the development of stakeholder-ready deliverables to present with confidence and influence.

  • Good knowledge of business and analytics - understanding data from various systems for a deeper comprehension of a data structure based on subjects.

  • Has experience in building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets.

Responsibilities

​

  • Responsible for maintaining, expanding, and optimizing our clients’ data and data pipeline architecture, for building processes, supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management, as well as optimizing data flow and collection to cross functional teams.

  • Primary area will be in producing analytics reports/dashboard based on heterogeneous datasets and source, with the ability to create Power BI dashboards.

  • This role is required to support our data analysts on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects.

  • Customizing and managing integration tools, databases, warehouses, and analytical systems.

  • Preferably able to design and develop dashboard/reporting which is oriented in a self-service model and data analytics using Power BI Service/Tableau. Knowledge of BI tools, such as Power BI, and Tableau is preferred.

  • Experiences with Google Cloud Platform or similar platforms will be an added advantage.

 

Qualifications

​

  • Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Computer Science/ Information System/Mathematics/ Statistics/ Science & Technology related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Data Engineering role.

  • 2+ years of experience in Big Data Analysis using SQL or preferably cloud computing solutions such as Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services, or at least the common on-premise databases – should be proficient in data aggregation and wrangling.
